More than 220 industry leaders and veterans from the Middle East’s logistics and supply chain industry met on Thursday, March 31 at the Logistics Middle East Awards 2022 to recognise and celebrate the sector’s most remarkable achievements during the past 12 months.
The event, held at Dubai’s Grosvenor House, marked the 16th edition of the awards, and featured 15 categories, including brand new segments such as the CSR Initiative of the Year and the Logistics Consultancy of the Year.
The awards honoured companies across various industry segments, from 3PL to last-mile, equipment supply, technology, and express logistics, among others.
The Logistics Middle East Awards received a record 115 nominations from 57 companies. The shortlisted entries were reviewed by an expert panel of judges, which included:
- Roberto Croci, the managing director for the Middle East, Turkey, and Pakistan at Microsoft for Startups
- Kim Winter, the managing director of the Logistics Executive Group
- Nissrine El Qobai, the chief executive officer for ENY Consulting
- Robin Vermaat, the founder and CEO of RV Consultancy, and
- Meher Mirchandani, the director of the Manrre Logistics Fund and the managing director of the Palmon Group
Winners and the highly commended for each of the 15 categories were recognised during a gala night, which also featured a three-course dinner and a networking reception.
The winners, who were recognised on stage, included:
- 3PL of the Year – Hellmann Worldwide Logistics
- Air Cargo Operator of the Year – Etihad Cargo
- Bespoke Logistics Project of the Year – Navigators Shipping and Logistica
- Breakbulk Operator of the Year – Navigators Shipping and Logistica
- Corporate Social Responsibility of the Year – Tristar
- Energy Supply Chain of the Year – Fleetline Shipping Services
- Equipment Supplier of the Year – IQ Robotics
- Express Logistics Company of the Year – DHL Express
- FMCG Supply Chain of the Year – GAC
- Supply Chain Hub of the Year – DP World
- Tech and Innovation – AHOY
- The Pride of Logistics – AD Ports
- Logistics Executive of the Year – Anil Kumar, Modern Freight Company
- Last Mile Leader of the Year – Posta Plus
- Logistics Consultancy of the Year – Miebach Consulting
