However, the exemption does not extend to seven-day paid public parking zones in Sharjah

Sharjah

Sharjah Municipality has declared free parking in the emirate on Sunday, 7 July 2024.

The announcement, made via the municipality’s Instagram account, states that public parking users in Sharjah City will not be required to pay parking fees on this date.

This is in order to mark Muharram 1, the first day of the Islamic New Year 1446 AH.

These areas, identifiable by blue parking information signs, will continue to operate as usual, with fees applicable throughout the week, including official holidays.

Motorists are advised to note that normal parking regulations will resume following the one-day exemption.
