UAE, Saudi officials offer condolences to Sheikh Khalifa

King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also sent messages as the UAE continues its three-day mourning period

His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa received the condolences of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces on the death of his mother, Sheika Hessa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan at Al Bateen Palace on Sunday.

His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa received the condolences of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces on the death of his mother, Sheika Hessa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan at Al Bateen Palace on Sunday.

A number of other officials and Al Nahyan family members were also present, including His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region, His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, advisor to the UAE president and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, executive council member.

Additionall, Sheikh Khalifa received messages of condolence from King Salman Abdulaziz Al Saudof Saudi Arabia, as well as Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

Following the announcement of Sheikha Hessa’s death on Sunday, a three-day mourning period was announced, with flags flying at half-mast across the UAE.
