UAE residents are set to enjoy another long weekend later this year.
Out of the 14 public holidays declared for both public and private sectors, several have already passed, including Eid Al-Fitr from April 8 to April 12, Arafat Day on June 15, the first day of Eid Al-Adha on June 16, and Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday, expected to fall on Sunday, September 15.
Next UAE holiday in 7 weeks
The next expected UAE holiday is the final holiday of the year, and it will be a four-day weekend in December, marking the UAE’s 53rd National Day. The celebrations will take place on December 2 and 3, as per dates confirmed by the UAE Cabinet.
The National Day celebrations use ‘Spirit of the Union’ as their theme, inspired by the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s first president.
