UAE oil firm ENOC hits 50 percent Emiratisation

The announcement comes as the UAE doubles down on encouraging companies to hire more locals

ENOC Emiratisation

Half of the employees of ENOC Group are Emiratis, the company said on Tuesday, amid a sweep of Emiratisation in local companies in the UAE.

The group already has full Emirati executive team, while 77 percent of senior managers are also locals.

“We are invested in local talent and fostering an environment where they can use their knowledge and capabilities to contribute to the development of the UAE,” Said Humaid Al Falasi, the company’s group chief executive said in a statement.

The announcement comes as the UAE doubles down on encouraging companies to hire more locals. Earlier this year, the government has approved a law to increase Emiratisation rate by 2 percent annually, to hit the target of 10 percent by 2026.

Local companies such as Majid Al Futtaim and Emirates have ramped up localisation efforts in line with the government’s goal.

ENOC is participating at the Careers UAE 2022 job fair, where they are looking for Emiratis to fill 80 job openings.

“In support of Emirati talent, we continually offer opportunities for talent to be part of a company that is shaping the future of the energy sector,” Al Falasi said.
