Police in the UAE have announced a reduced speed limit on a key road will begin on November 1.
Abu Dhabi Police said the speed limit will be reduced to 80kmph on Sheik Khalid bin Sultan Street in Al Ain.
The Abu Dhabi Police General Command said the speed reduction will apply to traffic in both directions between Al Ghail Roundabout and Al Sarooj Roundabout.
UAE police announce new speed limit
The current speed limit is 100kmph and will be reduced to 80kmph.
In a statement on social media, Abu Dhabi Police called on motorists to adhere to the new speed limit and ensure safe driving.
The police statement said reduced speed on the road will improve the flow of traffic and reduce the number of traffic accidents.
