The UAE will offer free Covid-19 tests for all citizens and domestic workers in the country, following a directive from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Mohamed ordered free Covid-19 tests for all UAE citizens and for domestic workers, according to a joint statement released today by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).
The free tests also extend to people of determination, pregnant women, residents who are over 50 years old, people with coronavirus symptoms and those who have come into contact with coronavirus patients.
News agency WAM said health authorities in the UAE will set the dates for tests and notify the public accordingly.
Anyone who does not qualify for a free test can book through the Seha app and pay a AED370 fee.
