Abu Dhabi’s NPCC wins $350m oilfield deal

Project part of a plan to boost output of the Lower Zakum field from 2012.

Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co said on Tuesday it awarded a $350 million contract to National Petroleum Construction Co (NPCC) for work on an oilfield in the emirate.

The project is part of a plan to boost the output of the Lower Zakum field from 2012, a statement from Abu Dhabi Marine said.

The contract was for the demothballing of the Zakum Central Super Complex which had been shut in the early 1980s, the statement said.

NPCC is a subsidiary of government owned General Holding Corp. (Reuters)
