Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), the master developer of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, has announced the names of the contractors completing the first phase of work on its Saadiyat Beach Villas project.
Abu Dhabi-based Al Jaber Building will build 354 villas in the development on Saadiyat Island, while Hilalco has been contracted to build the infrastructure, TDIC said in a statement on Tuesday.
The first phase of work comprises three- to six-bedroom villas of varying Mediterranean, Arabian and Contemporary styles.
Some top-end homes will include their own gym, lift, swimming pool and movie theatre, the firm said.
“Despite the current market challenges, construction on Saadiyat Island continues on track, proving its value as a promising and long-term investment for its future residents,” said Lee Tabler, TDIC CEO.
UAE and GCC national investors will be offered homes on a freehold basis with expatriates qualifying for 99-year leases.
TDIC said overall work on Saadiyat Island is progressing at a steady pace with the Saadiyat bridge and expressway, the Gary Player designed Saadiyat Beach Golf Course and the Saadiyat Experience Centre (Manarat Al Saadiyat), due to open soon.
