Government schools, and those following the Ministry of Education (MoE) curriculum in the UAE, are set to receive a four-week winter break.
According to an announcement by the MoE, students will be on holiday from December 15, right through until resuming studies on January 12.
However, as confirmed by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), while private schools will also start their holidays on December 15, they will have a three-week break with classes getting back underway on January 5.

Private schools in Dubai that started their academic year in April have three options, and can choose to observe a two-week, three-week or four-week winter break. While some schools will start classes on December 29, 2019, others have the option to resume classes on January 5, 2020 or January 12, 2020.
