Dubai private schools will welcome students back for the 2023-2024 academic year on Monday, August 28.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has released dates for the upcoming year, which are mandated for all private schools in Dubai for a standardised academic calendar.
For those private schools in Dubai that kick off their academic year in September, these are the following dates for the upcoming academic session:
- Start of the academic year: August 28, 2023
- Winter break: December 11, 2023
- Reopening of classes after the winter break: January 02, 2024
- Spring break: March 25, 2024
- Resumption of classes after the spring break: April 15, 2024
The academic year is set not to conclude before June 28, 2024.
Schools beginning their academic year in April will observe a slightly different timeline for the 2023-2024 session:
- Students returning after the summer break: August 28, 2023
- Winter break: December 11, 2023
- Reopening of classes following the winter break: January 02, 2024
- End of the academic year: March 01 – 31, 2024
