Omani firm wins Fujairah refinery contract

Engineering firm will design and build pipelines to connect Fujairah’s refinery and port.

Topaz Engineering, a subsidiary of Oman’s Renaissance Services, has won a “multi-million dollar” contract to build pipelines in the UAE, Renaissance said on Wednesday.

In a statement on the bourse website, the company said: “Topaz Engineering will have nine months to complete the design, supply, fabrication, installation, testing and pre-commissioning of piping works with pigging facility along with allied electrical and instrumentation works.”

The white oil and black oil pipelines will connect the Fujairah refinery to the port in the emirate, part of the UAE.

Stephen Thomas, CEO of Renaissance Services, said: “Our client does not want the contract amount to be disclosed.”
