Qatar petroleum is
planning to shut down part of its oil production unit at the
Dukhan field in the fourth quarter of 2011 for three weeks, the
manager of production at Dukhan told reporters on Monday.
“120,000 barrels per day of oil production will stop,” said
production manager Nasser Jeham Al Kuwari, adding that
production facilities are being shut down for maintenance.
Total production at Dukhan, 100 percent owned by Qatar
Petroleum, is 250,000 barrels per day.
