Agility has signed an agreement with AMB Property Corporation to lease approximately 40,300m2 at development projects in Houston, Amsterdam and Paris.

Agility has signed an agreement with AMB Property Corporation to lease approximately 40,300m2 at development projects in Houston, Amsterdam and Paris.

The Kuwait-based logistics company, which is currently expanding its operations throughout the world, believes this latest partnership will create new opportunities in the European and North American markets.

“As Agility continues to experience increased demand for services, we appreciate the partnership with AMB to handle our logistics real estate requirements,” said Elias Monem, chief executive officer for Agility in the Middle East and Africa. “This enables us to provide customers with quick and flexible implementations at major logistics hubs as we grow our business.”

AMB has already commenced its development in Houston, located in close proximity to Houston International Airport and the Port of Houston. The 22,300m2 build-to-suit facility will specialise in the transportation of equipment for the oil and gas industry.

The European bases consist of 12,600m2 at AMB’s distribution centre in Paris, adjacent to Le Bourget Airport and southwest of Paris’ Charles de Gaulle International Airport, together with 5400m2 at AMB’s Fokker Logistics Centre in Amsterdam, located near Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

“Our development expertise, plus our ability to provide Agility with ideal facilities at three key global trade locations, was a significant factor in the selection of AMB to assist this important global customer’s expansion plans,” said Steve Callaway, senior vice president, director of customer development, AMB.
