Nine more cases of swine flu have been reported in Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number of cases to 294 since May 29.
The new cases include seven Saudis, including six males, and a male and a female foreign worker, Arab News reported.
“Blood samples of the new cases were tested and were positive for H1N1,” Dr Khalid Al Mirghalani, of the Ministry of Health, told the paper.
“So far, 215 of the cases have fully recovered and have resumed normal life. The others are in stable condition,” he said.
Al Mirghalani said the international school which was closed last week after 20 pupils were diagnosed with the virus will reopen at the start of next week.
“Timely action by the school administration has helped cut down the number of cases,” a ministry spokesman told the paper.
