UAE authorities on Thursday announced a four-day holiday for workers in August to mark Eid Al Adha.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has confirmed that Eid Al Adha will be celebrated from August 9-12.
Both public and private sector employees across the country will be enjoy the holiday, following an announcement earlier this year granting private sector workers the same entitlement as their government counterparts.
The ninth day of Dhu Al Hijjah, the month in the Islamic calendar, corresponds to Arafat Day while Eid takes place on the 10th day.
