Sheep are being sold by traders in the UAE through photo-sharing app Instagram ahead of Eid Al Adha.
The animals are being marketed according to their breed such as local, Australian and Kashmiri.
Traders said the application offers easy access to display the animals and share their prices, reported local media.
Some Instagram accounts are offering wholesale of the sheep, with one user posting an ad for the sale of 45 sheep.
Prices of the breed range from AED600 to AED2,000, with local Nejdi sheep and Al-Nuaimi sheep being the most expensive, priced from AED1,000 to AED2,000.
Imported Australian sheep are priced between AED600 to AED1,000, while Kashmiri sheep are the least expensive, priced from AED600 to AED700.
The prices of sheep rise every year as Eid Al Adha nears and demand for the animals sky rockets.
