Dubai-based public relations agency ASDA’A Burson-Marstellar was named ‘Middle East Consultancy of the Year’ at the Gold Standard Awards organised by Public Affairs Asia held in Hong Kong last week.

Over 300 entries were received at this year’s awards across all categories, the highest total in its history.

Additionally, ASDA’A-BM won the “social media communications” category for its ‘new ways to connect with #AvayaEngage’ campaign, for its innovative use of digital channels to engage stakeholders with U.S.-based technology giant Avaya and drive footfall to its Avaya ENGAGE event.

“Today, the recognition of our work is transcending our traditional regional boundaries,” said Sunil John, Founder and CEO of ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller.

“The Gold Standards, the most prestigious awards of their type in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, recognise the best of the best, and we are thrilled with our wins, which recognise the world-class standard of the work we do,” he added. “Our team works tirelessly to produce work of the highest quality, and such recognition only fuels our passion to deliver excellence.”

ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller - which is headquartered in Dubai – has five practices: brand communications, enterprise and technology, financial public affairs and corporate, and has 11 offices throughout the MENA region.

In 2017, the company expanded with new business partnerships including ADNOC, the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, VISA and the UAE Federal Tax Authority, adding to an existing portfolio that includes GEMS Education, Emaar, General Electric, Ford and Nestlé.
