Eisa M. Al Eisa, the chairman of the Samba Financial Group, scooped the Lifetime Achievement Award at CEO Middle East’s Saudi Arabia Awards on Sunday.
Eisa M. Al-Eisa has been at the helm of the Samba Financial Group, formerly known as The Saudi American Bank, since 2003. The lender is one of the kingdom’s largest banks and is, according to a recent report by the Union of Arab Banks, the Arab World’s fifth largest lender.
“Through his visionary leadership and ability to capture opportunities and identify challenges, Al-Eissa has managed to realise unprecedented achievements on the local and regional levels that have contributed significantly to the development of the Saudi banking and financial sector,” said the judges.
The awards were organised by Dubai-based ITP Publishing, the publishers of Arabian Business, and recognised 15 CEOs for their contribution to the Saudi economy. Other award winners included Ayman Al Hariri of Saudi Oger, Abdul-Kareem Abu Al-Nasr of the National Commercial Bank and Dr. Ahmed Abbas Sindi, CEO of Etihad Atheeb Telecom.
