A 73-year-old Malaysian national won $1 million in Dubai Duty Free’s (DDF) Millennium Millionaire promotion.

Prabhakaran Nair, who regularly buys a ticket in the Millennium Millionaire draw said, “I’m very happy to hear such a fantastic news, and this is such a great Diwali present that I would never forget.”

He the second Malaysian national to win $1 million since DDF’s Millennium Millionaire draw was launched in June 1999.

Last month’s winner, retired Indian Mr. Kalapparambath Mohamed Ali Musthafa, who worked in Dubai for 37 years, was presented with a giant $1million ceremonial cheque after being flown in from India.

Another prize winner, Mohammed Shabeer was named the new owner of a new BMW S 1000 RR Series.

Shabeer, a 29-year old technical engineer from Dubai, bought his first ever ticket from Dubai Duty Free website.

The delighted winner said: “I’m very excited and happy that I won, and I’d like to thank Dubai Duty Free for this wonderful opportunity.”
