UAE Amazon shoppers, who are ‘Prime’ members, can take advantage of massive deals during Amazon’s annual Prime Day sales. The exclusive discounts event will run for six full days this summer.
Prime Day is scheduled to start at 12:01am on July 16 until July 21. The online retail giant confirmed this will provide the longest Prime Day event so far in the UAE for bargain hunters.
Thousands of deals will be available across over 30 product categories on Amazon’s UAE website, amazon.ae, during the sales bonanza. This includes electronics, fashion, homeware, kitchen items, toys and Amazon devices.
Amazon Prime Day sales return to UAE for six days

“Prime Day is all about providing exceptional value and celebrating Prime members. This is the first year in the UAE that we extend Prime Day for six full days, catering to customer demand, and we look forward to celebrating this with members across the country as we show up for them with incredible deals,” Stefano Martinelli, Vice President of Amazon UAE and Saudi Arabia said.
Major brands offering discounts include Samsung, Skechers, Guess, Cetaphil, Nivea and Nespresso as well as local small businesses.
Customers will also benefit from deals on items shipped from Amazon sites in the US, UK and Germany.
New promotions and discounted products will continually be added throughout the six days to keep shoppers engaged. Some banks are partnering with Amazon to provide additional savings for customers during Prime Day transactions.
According to Amazon, their Prime Day sales from around the world in 2023 saw customers save nearly $24 billion.
Prime members secured the “vast majority” of these savings, with over $2.5 billion shaved off orders during Prime Day 2023 alone.
“Prime Day will always be the most compelling time to join Prime to enjoy savings, convenience, and entertainment all rolled into one single membership, it’s about getting the most value out of Amazon. We hope everyone enjoys the many saving opportunities available during the sale event, while exploring the year-round value delivered through the range of exclusive Prime membership benefits,” Martinelli said.
Customers can sign up to Amazon Prime and enjoy benefits beyond just the annual deals event. Membership costs AED140 annually or AED16 per month.
Subscribers receive perks like free fast delivery, access to Prime Video for entertainment and grocery services from Amazon Fresh.
To make the most of this year’s extended discounts period, Amazon advises becoming a Prime member ahead of July 16.
The company’s Prime membership provides benefits valued higher than what one third of UAE shoppers said they would pay for an all-inclusive service. Speed of delivery also remains a high priority for local consumers when buying online.
Prime Day orders will be fulfilled through Amazon’s established warehouse and logistics network in the UAE.
Investments have been made to optimise same-day and one-day delivery services for members across the country.
