Playbook, the global platform for leadership and professional growth, has signed a strategic partnership with the Arab Esports Federation to develop the next generation of gaming and esports talent across the Arab world.
The collaboration establishes a cross-regional pathway for gamers in 20 Arab countries to access world-class learning, leadership training, and entrepreneurial resources aimed at helping them build sustainable careers in the rapidly growing gaming industry.
The partnership aligns with the Arab region’s expanding gaming ambitions, led by Saudi Arabia’s US$38 billion investment plan through Savvy Games Group under the Public Investment Fund. The Kingdom’s national gaming strategy targets transforming the sector into a global hub by 2030, contributing SAR50 billion to GDP and creating tens of thousands of jobs.
Driving growth in Arab gaming
“The gaming industry in the Arab world is moving at incredible speed. Talent is rising, investment is rising — and the opportunity is enormous,” said Wafa Al Obaidat, Founder and CEO of Playbook. “Through this partnership, we’re giving emerging gamers access to the learning, networks, and pathways they need to shape meaningful careers and build influence within this global industry.”
Rawan Albutairi, Secretary General of the Arab Esports Federation, added: “Empowering the next generation of esports players across the Arab world is central to our mission. Through our collaboration with Playbook, we are equipping emerging talent with the skills, exposure, and networks they need to thrive in a global industry.”
Through Playbook’s digital platform, esports players will gain access to expert-led masterclasses, leadership development sessions, and mentorship opportunities, connecting them with founders, investors, and industry leaders worldwide. The initiative aims to bridge esports and entrepreneurship, promoting career growth across gaming, content creation, digital media, and emerging technology.
The partnership will run for one year initially, with plans to expand in line with the region’s long-term gaming and digital entertainment goals. Both organisations said they will continue to collaborate on nurturing talent, deepening regional engagement, and positioning the Arab world as a leading hub for esports innovation.
