has announced it will increase its mobile bandwidth by nearly 200 percent next year to enable faster streaming and downloading.

The telecom firm said it is set to invest $85m in the enhanced network that will vastly improve its online services.

Using HSPA+ technology, the network will give customers “lightning fast download and upload speeds of 21 Mbps – up from 7.2 Mbps,” the firm said in a statement on Tuesday.

HSPA+ technology, from the telecom solutions provider Huawei, is already used by leading operators in North America, Asia and Europe as the next generation of mobile broadband.
