Jordanian university deploys eLearning and ERP solution

The German Jordanian University (GJU) and Integrated Technology Group (ITG) have agreed to jointly develop and deploy an integrated eLearning and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution based on ITG’s e-learning platform, EduWave, and its ERP solution, WaveERP that will serve to automate the GJU academic and administrative processes and operations.

Dr. Labib Khadra, president of GJU, has emphasised the significance of this project. “The launch of this project is aligned with the University’s policy which focuses on the integration of technology in its academic and operational activities, through a modern infrastructure that is built with the latest technologies, allowing students, instructors and staff to perform their daily activities in an effective and innovative manner,” she said.

“The University will be closely involved in the implementation of this vital project, which will result in the automation of the academic and administrative services including finance, human resource, inventory, student information and management system, eLearning and e-content management, and portal integration,” added Dr. Khadra.

The technology offered by ITG provides complete integration between the administrative and academic segments of the university, facilitating efficiency, accuracy and flexibility.

“ITG is a leading player in the regional and international arena in e-learning and ERP, and we consider this partnership as a great opportunity to create an excellent success story,” said ITG’s CEO Walid Tahabsem. “The strength of the solution to be deployed at GJU lies in the seamless integration between the administrative and educational facets at the University.”

EduWave is deployed in Jordan, nationwide, serving 1.5 million students, and in the Kingdom of Bahrain to serve 250,000 users nationwide. It is also deployed in the University of Nizwa, Oman. The solution is a web-based, end-to-end e-learning platform, fully developed by ITG, and based on international industry standards, learning outcomes and learning objects. Eduwave is fully customisable to allow educational bodies to shape their learning process, while sharing knowledge and resources.
