NetApp sets up shop in Saudi Arabia

Network Appliance has opened an office in Saudi Arabia to better serve its enterprise customers.

The Riyadh office gives NetApp its first physical presence in Saudi, the biggest market in the Middle East.

The office is NetApp’s second branch in this region. The company’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) operations have been run out of Dubai since 2002.

The Saudi team will be headed up by managing director, Sulaiman Al Assaf, who will report directly to Martyn Molnar, NetApp MENA regional area director.

“We are very excited about this new office in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” said Molnar. “By opening up an office here, we are further increasing our commitment to local customers and partners. We believe that a permanent local presence is vital in enabling us to effectively serve and meet the challenging demands of data-intensive industries such as oil and gas.”

NetApp said the official opening of the office would take place on March 5.
