Saudi AI authority signs pact with California-based NVIDIA to launch platform for high-efficiency supercomputers

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) signed a memorandum of understanding with California-based NVIDIA Global Company to launch a multi-year programme to install a platform of high-efficiency supercomputers in the country.

The platform will contribute to building several artificial intelligence-powered applications in language and computer vision technologies to help realize the Kingdom’s ambitions in artificial intelligence.

The MoU was signed during SDAIA’s participation in the second edition of the ‘LEAP23’ conference as a partner for data and artificial intelligence.

SDAIA was represented by Dr. Majid Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, supervisor of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence, SDAIA, while NVIDIA was represented by Jaap Zuiderveld, Vice President of EMEA.
