Symbol Technologies said this month that sales of its LS2208 bar code scanner have passed the one million mark. The LS2208 scanner is the fastest selling scanner in Symbol history and, in 2005, its sales represented 33% of all laser scanners sold worldwide, the firm claimed.
“Symbol’s LS2208 bar code scanner has been so successful because of its ability to meet the varying needs of our customers, while offering increased productivity at an affordable price,” said Tarek Hassaniyeh, sales manager, Symbol Technologies Middle East.
“Thismilestone recognises Symbol’s rich history in the advanced data capture market and demonstrates our commitment to working with channel partners to deliver best in class bar code scanning solutions,” he said.
