Amid a wave of radical changes for Twitter since Elon Musk took leadership, he now confirms that the character limit will be increased to 4000 characters, a significant increase from the present limit of 280.
In a tweet addressed to Musk, he was asked “is it true that Twitter is set to increase the characters from 280 to 4000?” to which he responded “Yes”.
Earlier this month, Arabian Business reported that Twitter has tried to assure the market that it is not changing its essential character and that none of its policies, including moderation, have changed. This comes in the face of advertisers deserting the social media platform fearing radical changes in its policies brought in by its new owner, Elon Musk.
On Sunday, Musk revealed Twitter 2.0, calling it the ‘everything app’ and revealing six new features.
