Air Astana Group, the largest airline group in Central Asia and the Caucasus regions by revenue and fleet size, has signed a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways.
The agreement comes into effect from Tuesday, 26 November, and will help connect Air Astana passengers to Etihad’s global network. Air Astana has direct flights to Abu Dhabi from Astana, which were launched in late October.
The airline will soon add another direct flight from Almaty (5th December).
Air Astana signed a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, effective from 26 November 2024, and the strategic partnership will help expand travel opportunities for passengers of both airlines.
Air Astana passengers will have access to Etihad Airways’ flights to Mumbai, Riyadh, Dammam, Bahrain, Cairo, Doha, Kuwait City, and Muscat, unlocking new travel experiences to India, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman.

Codeshare allow for single bookings, simplified check-in processes, and seamless baggage transfer between airlines. This is Air Astana’s eighth codeshare agreement worldwide.
Air Astana Group operates a fleet of 57 aircraft split between Air Astana, its full-service airline that started operations in 2002, and FlyArystan, its low-cost airline that was established in 2019.
