The Dubai Metro red line faced a delay in service due to technical issues, the problem has now been resolved, RTA said via Twitter on Friday.

On Wednesday, the Dubai Metro service on the red line at the GGICO station was disrupted due to technical issues. Bus services were arranged for travellers heading to the Centrepoint and Expo stations.

Ever since its launch, the Metro has transported more than two billion passengers, with the Roads and Transport Authority revealing that the metro’s Red Line transported 1.342bn commuters, while the Green Line served 673.531m commuters.
