Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that nol cards can now be used on Nakheel’s Palm Monorail, the agreement was signed at MENA Transport and Congress Exhibition 2022, earlier this year.
“We are excited to be extending The Palm Monorail’s world-class services to nol card users across the UAE. As the first and only monorail in the Middle East, The Palm Monorail reflects Nakheel’s commitment to increase connectivity between key destinations in Palm Jumeirah as well as deliver customer convenience,” said Omar Khoory, Chief Hospitality and Assets Officer, Nakheel.
“The Palm Monorail’s trip from The Palm Gateway to Al Ittihad Park, Nakheel Mall, Atlantis and The Pointe offers visitors an experience to savour the stunning views of the Palm Jumeirah and its scenic landscape,” he added.
“This initiative supports the efforts to integrate the public transport networks and offer seamless mobility journeys for riders all over Dubai. It also fits with nol digital strategy aimed to expand the use of nol cards in all services, products and solutions of external partners from both the public and private sectors,” said Mohammed Yousef Al Mudharreb, CEO of Corporate Technology Support Services Sector, RTA.
The new initiative will allow users to avail multiple services from a single card, boosting connectivity of public transport.
Starting this month RTA also announced initiatives to celebrate Public Transport Day which will award 15 winners with nol points and various other vouchers.
