Dubai roads were flooded following the biggest downpour of rain in the history of the UAE and traffic authorities have been working round the clock to get vehicles moving again.

The city’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) launched a “an integrated plan around the clock to clear the streets of rainwater and idling vehicles to achieve smooth traffic flow”.

While many vehicles were abandoned and floods and accumulated water made driving impossible many roads were completely closed down.
