Etihad Rail has signed a partnership agreement with logistics giant DHL, the new joint venture will enable DHL to use Etihad Rail‘s network to conduct operations in the UAE and use the rail as one of its major transportation routes to distribute goods in the country.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Middle East Rail Exhibition and Conference 2023 in Dubai.
The joint venture aims to strengthen sustainable freight transport solutions as well as, end-to-end logistics and supply chain services.
The partnership sets out to be of benefit to businesses in the country by optimising the use of time and resources, reducing costs and providing effective asset management.
The result of this partnership will reduce the pressures on road transport significantly, boost trade and logistics services in the UAE driving the country’s economic growth and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
