Global 8000, Bombardier

The Bombardier Global 8000 is set to become a game-changer in the world of private aviation. Flying at a top speed of 1160 kmh, reaching Mach 0.94, it brushes the threshold of supersonic flight. When it hits the market, this private jet will be the fastest private jet plane in the world.
But speed isn’t the only ace up its sleeve. The Global 8000 is designed for 19 passengers, where comfort lies at the core of its design. Its cabin features a circadian lighting system – a strategic weapon against jet lag – and an advanced air filtration system to ensure a fresh atmosphere throughout the journey.
What truly sets this jet apart, however, is its incredible range. Covering a staggering 8,000 nautical miles non-stop, it enables travellers to traverse vast distances without the need for refuelling. Picture journeys from the glittering shores of Los Angeles to the vibrant landscapes of Sydney, or from the bustling streets of New York to the dazzling lights of Hong Kong, all seamlessly executed in a single flight. The Global 8000 is poised to enter service in 2025.

Citation Longitude, Cessna Aircraft

The Cessna Citation Longitude aircraft produced by Wichita, Kansas-based Textron Aviation, has earned a name for itself as a timeless classic. Since its first flight in 2014 it has become the most popular and best-selling mid-size business jet on the market. This has mainly to do with the Longitude’s ability to cruise non-stop for up to 6,482 km, and complete non-stop flights from New York to London and Paris to Dubai. When configured for the fastest cruise speed, the Longitude can maintain Mach 0.84. Powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306D1 engines, this jet strikes an impressive balance between speed and practicality.
The plane can accommodate up to 12 passengers, with seating arrangements that can be adjusted in three different configurations. The interior boasts exclusive soundproofing techniques, allowing passengers to peacefully rest or productively work. Passengers can also enjoy the benefit of a recirculation system, ensuring that fresh air is continuously being circulated throughout the cabin.
Price: $30 million.
G700, Gulfstream

The Gulfstream G700 is no stranger to accolades, holding more than 40 National Aeronautic Association speed records. In a recent flight earlier this year, it completed a transcontinental flight from Savannah in the US to Tokyo in just 13 hours. That’s an average speed of Mach 0.89, and a flight that would typically take up to 15 hours for other aircrafts. This velocity is achieved by twin Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 turbofans, collectively generating a staggering 16,300kg of thrust.
Beyond its need for speed, the G700 offers a luxurious cabin experience, featuring lay-flat seats and a full bedroom. A final highlight of the aircraft is its 20 panoramic oval windows, providing passengers with breathtaking views of the world below.

Global 7500, Bombardier

When Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg chooses a private jet, the world takes notice. Wahlberg’s choice is the Bombardier Global 7500, an aircraft capable of reaching Mach 0.925, equivalent to 200kmh. One of the many features of this aircraft is its wing design, also known as a Smooth Flex Wing, this ensures optimal control and agility at all speeds, delivering the smoothest ride in the private aviation industry. With a range that exceeds 13,840 km, the Global 7500 proudly stands as one of the world’s fastest longest-range private jets.
Bombardier Global 7500 could be called “a flying house”. The interiors of the cabin have been designed in separate “zones”. There are four separate cabins, including a bedroom suite, a fully-equipped conference suite, a 55-inch TV for entertainment and a full-size kitchen area. It is one of the few business his jet has carved a name for itself among the elite in the luxury aviation market.
Price: $75 million.
SJ30i, SyberJet

The SyberJet SJ30i stands out as the most sophisticated light jet on the market, achieving impressive speeds as fast as Mach 0.83. What sets it apart in aviation innovation is its exceptional ability to maintain sea-level pressure even when cruising at 41,000 feet. This unique feature ensures that passengers are spared the usual discomfort and drowsiness caused by pressure variations during a flight. With the ability to fly up to 49,000ft, at an altitude higher than most aircrafts, the SJ30i is able to avoid most other air traffic, providing further flexibility and freedom for private jet travellers to fly on a custom schedule.
Although small in size, the jet can comfortably accommodate five passengers and two seats in the cockpit, and the interiors have been designed to resemble a high-performance sports car. From the carbon fibre finishing to contrasting stitching, the design perfectly demonstrates that this plane was built for speed and performance. Next delivery for the SJ3Oi is anticipated in 2026.

Spike S-512 Supersonic Business Jet, Spike Aerospace

Imagine darting across the globe from New York to London in just three and a half hours, or covering the expanse between Los Angeles and Miami in a little over two. The Spike S-512 supersonic business jet promises to turn these dreams into reality, boasting a top speed of Mach 1.6 – that’s equivalent to approximately 2,000kmh.
This revolutionary aircraft, in development since 2011, is designed to accommodate 18 passengers and features innovative windowless cabins with cabin-side screens displaying the view outside. The QSF (Quiet Supersonic Flight) technology aims to minimise the sonic boom, promising a quieter and more comfortable supersonic journey. While a flight date remains to be announced, the US aerospace company announced earlier last month that they are taking reservations, stating “Deliveries are limited and based on initial deposit date”.
Price: $125 million (estimated).
