A water leakage has reportedly caused the delay of Kuwait Airways taking delivery of a leased Airbus A330.
The airline was due to receive the plane on Thursday but engineers discovered a water leak in food storage refrigeration units, Kuwait Times reported.
Airbus acknowledged the malfunction and agreed to fix it, delaying delivery by two weeks.
Kuwait Airways received its first new planes in 17 years in March when it took delivery of four A320s.
However, one of the aircraft was almost immediately damaged when it was hit by a bus transporting maintenance crew at Kuwait International Airport.
The airline, which is in the process of preparing to privatise, has ordered more than 20 new and leased planes to upgrade its significantly aging fleet.
