Ramadan 2023: Dubai announces more free parking hours

Sunday parking rules will remain unchanged, free parking will be applicable throughout the day

Ramadan will officially begin on Thursday, March 23, following the moon not being sighted in the skies last night. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the revised paid parking timings for the duration of the holy month.

From Monday to Saturday, paid parking will be applicable from 8 AM until 6 PM, followed by a period of free parking for two hours from 6 PM to 8 PM. Paid parking will then continue for the rest of the night starting 8 PM until 12 AM.

Sunday parking rules will remain unchanged, free parking will be applicable throughout the day.

At the TECOM area (parking with code (F): paid parking will be applicable from 8 AM to 6 PM. The multi-level parking terminals will operate on a 24-hour system.

Public transport timings including trams, metro and busses have also been revised for the month of Ramadan.

Metro Red and Green lines will be operating from Monday to Thursday from 5 AM to 12 AM. On Friday, timings will be extended by 1 hour, operating from 5 AM until 1 AM.

On Sundays, the metro will have a later start, 8 AM until 12 AM.

The timings of public bus stations in Dubai will be from 6 AM to 1 AM the next day.
