More than 70 deals worth $12 billion are expected in Riyadh this week at the Future Aviation Forum, the organiser said.

The major aviation event, hosted by Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), will bring together over 5,000 global leaders from 120 countries to discuss the future of the industry from May 20 to 22.

During the conference, GACA is expected to unveil a General Aviation Roadmap for the kingdom with the aim of increasing the sector’s GDP contribution by tenfold to $2 billion by 2030.

With the theme of “Elevating Global Connectivity”, the three-day forum will showcase an unprecedented $100 billion worth of investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s booming aviation sector.

High-level attendees include ministers from 30 countries, leaders of 65 civil aviation authorities, airline chiefs, airport executives, aircraft manufacturers, and major investors.

The event kicks off a big week for Saudi aviation, with the kingdom also hosting the Arab Civil Aviation Organisation’s security summit, Airport Council International’s annual assembly, and other major gatherings.

Key speakers include officials from the International Civil Aviation Organisation, Airports Council International, the EU’s aviation safety agency, and major carriers like Riyadh Air. Over 120 experts will lead discussions on pressing topics like supply chains, human capital, sustainability, and new aviation technologies.
