Dubai’s Bake N More cafe – which is a new one-of-its-kind factory and retail cafe – has begun accepting cryptocurrency payments for their fresh baked goods without incurring any transaction fee.
Customers at Bake N More can use crypto to pay for all-day breakfasts, brewed coffee, breads, baked goods, salads, and unique sandwiches.
The café’s open-source payment platform is handled by Mixin Network, which allows customers to pay for their purchases with bitcoin, ethereum, tether, and three other major cryptocurrencies.
All existing payment methods such as cash, cards, and online payments are also accepted.
Mixin Network is a fast, decentralised Web3 platform that brings speed and scalability to blockchain and allows blockchains to gain trillions of TPS with sub-second final confirmation, zero transaction fee, enhanced privacy, and unlimited extensibility.
The owner of Bake N More, Mohammad Al Hammadi, said: “Our world has shifted from the industrial revolution to the current information age. Accordingly, we did our research and we decided to implement this new technology in our system after speaking to a number of experts.
“Bake N More is now accepting digital coins as a method of payment. Cryptocurrencies are the way of the future. Crypto transactions are known to offer several benefits, such as low transaction fees and speedier processing and higher security compared to transactions conducted with fiat currencies This new technology is aligned with UAE sustainability, efficiency, and smart visions.”
Al Hammadi added: “The UAE government aims to conduct paperless transactions to improve the sustainability and to eliminate more than 1 billion pieces of paper used in transactions yearly. We, at Bake N More, a B2B and B2C food supplier, believing that good food is the foundation of health and happiness, are driven by a vision to be a market pioneer.”

Meng Chan Shu, the global ambassador of the Mixin Network, said: “Mixin Messenger is not just a normal chatting app, it is also a decentralised crypto wallet that is connected to 41 public chains with more than $2 billion under asset.

Bake N More’s factory is also equipped with an advanced, semi-automated assembly-line production that is operational round the clock and possesses the capacity to produce high volumes of products for the café’s partners.
The business’ POS and ERP are powered by an all-in-one Dubai-based solution, IIKO, which brings advanced technologies to F&B outlets with an intelligent cloud-based system.
