The prestigious accolades were bestowed upon them in recognition of their unwavering commitment to excellence, constant improvement, and the exceptional quality of their cuisine and overall dining experience.

Grégoire Berger’s Ossiano achieved an impressive score of 17.5 out of 20, while Saverio Sbaragli’s Al Muntaha secured a score of 17.

These ratings reflect the restaurants’ ability to evoke emotions through their dishes, their use of exceptionally high-quality ingredients, and their distinct and personal culinary styles.

Receiving four toques is a rare honor, as it signifies that a restaurant is truly exceptional. This distinction is reserved for establishments that meet the strict criteria of scoring 17 or higher, while also showcasing a unique signature style and offering an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

For the second consecutive year, Ossiano was crowned Gault&Millau UAE’s Restaurant of the Year, narrowly surpassing Al Muntaha. Both restaurants captivated the anonymous investigators from Gault&Millau with their distinctive approaches to classic cuisines.

At Ossiano, Berger pushes the boundaries of traditional dining experiences, employing theatrical presentations, interactive courses, and a degustation menu that revolves around a particular passage of his life.

Meanwhile, Al Muntaha, led by Sbaragli and his team, focuses on refining and enhancing classic Italian and French dishes through the mastery of traditional techniques and the use of premium ingredients.

In 2023, Ossiano showcased its commitment to evolution, not only through its menu and team, but also by modernising its space with embellishments to the ceiling, floor, and walls.

Al Muntaha, on the other hand, was lauded in the guide for its impeccable service, divine cuisine, well-curated wine selection, and the finesse of fine dining flourishes.
