dnata Travel has reported significant growth in holiday bookings for the upcoming Eid Al Fitr break, with overall bookings increasing by 55 percent compared to the previous year’s holiday travel period.

The Maldives, Thailand, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and France emerge as the top international destinations for UAE travellers this Eid. Vietnam, Japan, Spain, and Turkey have witnessed the most substantial year-on-year demand growth.

“Last-minute staycation bookings are on the rise, now accounting for 23 percent of total bookings, up from 10 percent previously reported in February,” dnata said in a statement.

The travel company has launched bespoke holiday packages targeting families, couples, luxury seekers, and wellness enthusiasts.

Packages include stays at four and five-star properties across short and long-haul destinations. Highlighted offers include:

  • Sri Lanka: Three nights at Hotel Riu Sri Lanka, starting from AED 3,900 per person
  • Maldives: Three nights at Kuramathi Maldives, starting from AED 6,400 per person
  • Thailand: Three nights at Angsana Laguna Phuket, starting from AED 6,400 per person
  • Mauritius: Three nights at Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort, starting from AED 7,900 per person

For UAE-based travellers, dnata Travel recommended staycation options in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah:

  • Centara Mirage Beach Resort, Dubai: One night from AED 580 per person
  • Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts: One night from AED 745 per adult
