Emaar, Dubai’s prominent master developer, has committed over $1 billion towards enhancing the city’s international profile through various infrastructure and cultural projects, the company announced today.
The investment portfolio includes the creation and operation of Dubai Fountain, recognised as the world’s largest choreographed fountain, as well as the production of the New Year’s Eve celebrations at Burj Khalifa, which attract global attention annually.
Dubai Opera, which serves as the region’s cultural hub, has also benefited from the company’s financial backing and operational expertise since its inception.
Emaar spends over $50mn annually on Dubai’s cultural attractions
The company allocates over $50 million each year to maintain and upgrade these attractions, including the recent implementation of advanced lighting and projection systems for Burj Khalifa’s façade.
These technological enhancements enable the tower to display visual narratives visible to millions worldwide.
Beyond physical infrastructure, Emaar extends its influence through social initiatives managed by the Emaar Foundation.
These programmes encompass charitable housing, community development, and sponsorships of national sports and cultural events.
“Emaar’s journey has always been rooted in a vision that transcends construction—it is about crafting experiences that inspire, unite, and leave a lasting impact. Our investments are a testament to our belief in Dubai’s limitless potential, and we are proud to play a key role in defining its global narrative,” Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar said.
The company states it will continue its focus on innovation and community support as Dubai positions itself among the world’s premier destinations.
