Rove Hotels is preparing to announce a second property in Riyadh, with the expansion expected “within weeks or months”, according to Paul Bridger, Chief Operating Officer of Rove Hotels, speaking exclusively to Arabian Business.
The Dubai-born lifestyle hotel brand made its debut in Saudi Arabia earlier this year, marking its first move outside the UAE. Bridger confirmed that the initial Riyadh opening is just the beginning of a broader rollout in the Kingdom.
“We’ll probably do multiple hotels in Riyadh. I hope we’ll be announcing our second hotel within weeks or months in Riyadh,” Bridger told Arabian Business.
Saudi Arabia has emerged as a natural next step for Rove, driven by strong brand familiarity among Saudi travellers and rapid tourism and business growth in the capital. Bridger said the brand has long seen a gap in the market for its mid-scale, lifestyle-led offering.
“I’ve travelled there [Saudi] a number of times a year. Honestly, a Rove is missing,” he said.
Rove Hotels expands into Riyadh
Rove’s strategy in Riyadh mirrors its Dubai playbook, prioritising prime locations and neighbourhood-driven design while maintaining its casual, service-led culture.
The company is targeting multiple sites in the city as it builds scale.
“For Saudi my vision for Riyadh is we need the same coverage and the same level of quality that we have in Dubai,” Bridger said.
The announcement underscores growing momentum for homegrown UAE hospitality brands expanding into Saudi Arabia as Vision 2030 investment accelerates demand for lifestyle and mid-scale accommodation alongside flagship luxury developments.
Rove Hotels currently operates multiple properties across Dubai and continues to explore further opportunities across the GCC with Saudi Arabia positioned as a key growth market.
“We definitely want to be in the major cities in Saudi, we want to be similar in Egypt and similar in Oman. So we’re looking to at least double, if not more,” Bridger concluded.
