Tourism revenue in Jordan saw a huge increase in 2023, according to a report by the nation’s state-run news agency.
Jordan’s revenue from tourism recorded a remarkable surge during the fiscal year 2023, reaching a total of $7.4bn, the JPA (Petra) reported.
This figure represents an increase of 27.4 per cent and is attributed to a surge in the number of tourists, which reached more than 6.3m.

Data issued by the Central Bank showed that the tourism revenue in December 2023 amounted to JD359.3m ($507m), a 3.4 per cent decrease compared to December 2022 due to an 8 per cent decline in tourist numbers.
