UAE residents are increasingly looking abroad for travel during Ramadan 2025, with international flight searches up 32.45 percent compared to last year, according to new data from Wego, the leading travel app in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The findings reveal Egypt, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan as the top five most searched destinations from the UAE during the holy month, followed by the Philippines, Lebanon, Morocco, and Nepal.
Nepal has emerged as the standout destination with a 214.76 percent increase in searches year-on-year, while Pakistan recorded an 82.65 percent surge compared to 2024 figures, the data said.
Egypt tops UAE Ramadan travel destinations despite 42% price increase
The data indicates that nine out of ten popular Ramadan destinations have experienced price increases, with Egypt seeing the highest rise at 42.29 percent, closely followed by Lebanon at 40.94 percent.
Jordan remains the only destination offering a slight reduction in airfares, with prices down 1.17 percent compared to last year.
The analysis shows that UAE travellers typically book their Ramadan flights more than a month in advance, a pattern that analysts expect to continue this year.
For those staying within the UAE, Dubai hotels present significant value during Ramadan 2025, with average rates dropping by 54.04 percent compared to last year. This reduction has driven a 3 percent increase in local staycation searches on the Wego platform.
Four-star hotels have emerged as the most popular choice, representing 40.15 percent of all bookings, as travellers seek a balance between luxury and value during the holy month.
