Greater China manufacturers and exporters have bought 100 percent of exhibit space available at Global Sources’ (NASDAQ: GSOL) China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Home Products in Dubai. The sold-out June 11-13, 2007 show is set to feature over 500 booths and is scheduled to be held at the Dubai International Exhibition & Convention Centre.
Global Sources’ chairman and CEO, Merle Hinrichs, said: “The Gifts & Home Products show is the first specialized, large-scale exhibition of Greater China suppliers ever held in Dubai.
“Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan suppliers have jumped at the opportunity to meet buyers face-to-face in Dubai – the worlds third-largest re-export hub after Hong Kong and Singapore.
“Our Dubai China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Home Products builds on the success of the Fairs in Hong Kong. With over 500 booths featuring 100 percent Greater China suppliers, it gives buyers from the Middle East, Africa, India and the Russian Federation convenient, easy access to great new sources of quality products.
“This initiative is yet another example of our strategy to launch increasingly specialized trade shows, online marketplaces and publications. This show exactly matches the strong and growing demand in these wealthy and emerging economies with Greater China suppliers looking to sell into new markets.”
One exhibitor, General Manager of David Enterprises, David Yen, said: “Global Sources has identified yet another excellent sales opportunity for us. The Hong Kong shows have generated excellent results, so naturally we have booths at the Dubai show to help us open new markets.”
Products scheduled to be on display at the Fair include: Gifts & Premiums; Toys; Electronic Premiums; Bags & Luggage; Health & Beauty Products; Kitchen & Household Products; Home Décor; Home Textiles; Ceramics & Porcelain; Decorative Lighting; Electrical Appliances; and Audio/Video Equipment.
The China Sourcing Fair Dubai is scheduled to feature special pavilions for Consumer Electronics, Fashion Accessories and Baby & Children’s products.
