Qatar has revealed its first home grown supercar, Elibriea, at its annual Motor Show taking place this week.
The car was created by Abdul Wahab Ziaullah, founder and owner of Elibriea luxury car brand, in collaboration with retail company Ali Bin Ali Group.
Elibriea produces 535 horsepower through a V-6 engine and weighs around 2,200 pounds due to its carbon fibre body.
The sharp-angled car was first developed by Ziaullah during his undergraduate program at Qatar’s University of Texas A&M.
Ziaullah’s firm, Elibriea Automotive, is Qatar’s first sports car brand.
The company is currently working on a lightweight, eco-friendly sports coupe called Equvallas.
It’s set to produce 800 horsepower through a mid-engine, rear wheel drive. It will also have a carbon fibre body and scissor doors.
