Expatriates don’t generally reach the heights of appreciation that Majid Kazi has found in Saudi Arabia. As a renowned cardiologist, Kazi received a letter from the then-Saudi health minister in 1974 asking him to help establish modern health facilities in the kingdom. Following his success in that field, he was appointed personal physician to King Fahd, as well as director of the Royal Clinic. Over 40 years in the kingdom have left Kazi with local citizenship and a number of friends in the highest circles of Saudi society.
