Hassan Chougle arrived in Qatar in 1978 to work for the Doha-based Mannai Group. After just two years he established Emad Electricals, which quickly became one of the leading electronic retailers in Qatar. Today, Chougle heads up a conglomerate that offers a diversified range of businesses including Emad Traders and Al Wakrah Fibre Glass.
In January, Chougle was awarded the ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Samman’ award by the president of India, Pratibha Patil.
