The numbers keep on piling up for Rizwan Sajan, with Danube annual revenues expected to soon top $1bn. A station on the Dubai Metro is now named after the firm. Much has changed since Sajan was forced to leave Kuwait during the Iraq invasion in 1990. He asked his wife to give him six months with their savings to make a go of a building materials company called the Danube Group. It took just three months before Sajan made his breakthrough. The company is based in Jebel Ali with a vast property portfolio and 38 offices across the Gulf, India and China.
