HE Abdulla Ahmed Mohammed Al Habbai has been a prominent figure in changing Dubai’s landscape, since he adorned the post of group chairman and CEO of the engineer’s office in 2005. With a background in engineering, Al Habbai has more than 20 years of experience in the property and real estate sector, including 16 years of service at Dubai Municipality, focusing on urban planning.
Meraas recently announced the launch of a new outdoor urban lifestyle concept, Boxpark, featuring 44 retail, restaurant, cafe, and entertainment brands, and blending the best of local and international concepts.
One of the company’s flagship projects is Dubai Parks & Resorts (DPR), a mammoth entertainment development boasting three theme parks: motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai, and Legoland Dubai.
The company recently launched ‘La Mer’, a mixed-use development that will take shape in Dubai’s exclusive beachfront district, Jumeirah, in the vicinity of Pearl Jumeirah Island.
Meraas also signed an agreement with Bulgari Hotels and Resorts to bring the luxury hospitality brand to Dubai. The hotel will be located at Jumeirah Bay Island and will be spread across a 557,418m2 area.
